As you and your colleagues prepare for this time of celebration and thanksgiving, we at St. Bernard Project would like to ask you to remember those hard-working families who are still struggling to rebuild their homes ? families who have not celebrated a holiday at home for eight years. This year, your company can help our clients ? all of them homeowners who have done their best to rebuild after Katrina ? come home for the holidays.
In lieu of holiday gifts to your clients, please consider making a donation to SBP in their honor. In return for your commitment to help bring families home, SBP will provide you with the following:
A holiday card sent on your behalf, acknowledging your gift to SBP in your clients? honor
Stories, photos and updates on the family your business sponsors, opportunities for hands-on volunteer days rebuilding ?your? home, plus an invitation to the family?s Welcome?Home Party!
Recognition of your ?Home for the Holidays? participation on SBP?s social media platforms
Every donation brings us closer to our goal of complete recovery. To residents of New Orleans, home has always meant security, family, togetherness, and independence ? the roots run deep here. Please help bring hardworking families home this holiday season.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS ? $25,000+
Sponsorship at this level funds rebuilding for a client?s home. Currently there are 130 families on our waiting list who need funds to begin construction on their home. Your sponsorship here allows SBP to move these families off our waiting list?and into construction.

When US President Barack Obama visited Staten Island on 15 November, the New York City borough devastated by Hurricane Sandy, he met with members of St George Malankara Orthodox Church, which suffered moderate damage. Sunny Konniyoor, a member of the church, told?India Abroad, ?We didn?t expect to meet the President. We stood near the church, hoping to see the President going that way. Instead of driving through, Obama walked in the New Dorp Beach neighbourhood, inspecting damage and interacting with residents. Only those who live in the area can remain there. Konniyoor said, ?Since we?re members of the church, the Secret Service allowed us to stand near the church?.
When the President saw the group, which included Vicar Fr Alex Joy, Dr Skaria Oommen, Konniyoor, and his son Martin, he walked towards them. Martin, an accountant, congratulated?Obama on his election victory. The president inquired about his work. The team described to the President the extent of damage to the church, which was the first Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church building in North America. The church didn?t have flood insurance. They didn?t expect much help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Konniyoor, an Obama supporter, said, ?He spoke to us as if he knew us for a long time?.
The President suggested they take a photograph. A state lawmaker took a camera from Martin and clicked a photograph. New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, US Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and several top officials accompanied Obama. After walking down a block that had been all-but-demolished in the storm, Obama said, ?We?re reminded that we?re bound together and have to look out for each other. We?re going to have to put some of the turf battles aside. We?re going to have to make sure everybody?s focused on doing the job, as opposed to worrying about who?s getting the credit, or, who?s getting the contracts, and all that stuff that sometimes goes into the rebuilding process?. Of 43 deaths attributed to the storm in New York City, 23 were on Staten Island.
You hear much bloody noise from Paffhausen, Dahulich, Reardon, Freddie M-G, Dreher, and Mattingly about how the Church is allied to ?conservative? rightwing politics. Nothing could be further from the truth. The majority of real ethnic Orthodox (and converts in real parishes, as opposed to konvertsy conventicles) voted for the President. Don?t forget, ethnic Orthodox votes put the President over the top in the Valley. Real Orthodox came home? as for the loudmouthed konvertsy, they lie? there?s no kinder way of expressing it. St Aleksei Toth blessed the Wobblies? not the greedy bosses. HH blessed Hugo Ch?vez Fr?as? not the warmongering Republican Party.

Or you could use Media Player Classic instead of VLC, You might want to get some anti spyware and anti malware if your worried about viruses, Advanced System care pro does wonders to keep my computer clean better than ccleaner the only downside is you have to pay for the pro version... unless your a pirate. But the pro version comes with some good utilities, deep registry cleaning, a built-in uninstaller than can search the registry for anything that hasn't been removed by the uninstaller, etc.
If you like recording software and you want to keep the filesize to a minimum you should get bandicam, If you dont care about file size I would recommend getting Dxtory and use the Lagarith lossless codec.
At the moment I cant think of what else you might be interested in but i hope this helps.

Create God-Mode: Right click on desktop and create a new folder and name it "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" without the quotes... enjoy all the shit you need in one place finally...

Yes you would be better off starting fresh with Windows 7 Ultimate/Enterprise x64. If it was me I would redo it all with 7 lol. 8 sux the balls imo, unless you have a touchscreen to actually utilize it... It's a touch version of 7 for dummies...
GodMode is just a hidden folder that puts all of Windows commonly needed settings in one place rather than 50 different places like normal. It will change nothing on your OS and is merely a centralized shortcut location for everything computer admins need. Just a neat little tweak...

No one knows that stuff - no one but StatMilk.
Australia could be powered almost entirely by renewable energy in coming decades, says a new report.
But the renewables expansion needs to be large and sustained with investment growth encouraged by policy certainty, says the report, "Generating a Renewable Australia" from the Climate Commission.
The release of the report Monday in Sydney coincided with the opening of the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Doha. It also follows the appointment, announced over the weekend, of former Macquarie Group investment banker Oliver Yates as chief executive of the Clean Energy Finance Corp., the organization charged with funding development of Australia's renewable energy sector, with an annual budget of $2 billion.
Solar PV and wind energy could be the cheapest forms of power in Australia for retail users by 2030 or sooner as carbon prices rise, says the report.
As of July 2012, almost 754,000 Australian households and businesses had installed solar panels.
South Australia's wind energy per capita is higher than any major country in the world, the report says, contributing approximately 26 percent of the state's current total electricity production.
"What we can now see is the emerging inevitability that renewables are going to be running the economy at some point in the future," Climate Change Commissioner Tim Flannery told the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
"We saw more money invested in 2011 in clean technologies than in fossil fuel," Flannery said. "So we've crossed the threshold. We need to prepare ourselves for a very different energy grid in the future."
In the meantime, Australia's electricity generation -- about three-quarters of which comes from coal -- accounts for 35 percent of the country's emissions, the report says.
The Australian government's energy white paper released this month says that clean energy technologies can provide 40 percent of the country's electricity by 2035, which experts say means that fossil fuels will dominate for at least the next 20 years.
"To avoid the most damaging consequences of climate change we must virtually eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels within decades," the report states.
Mark Diesendorf, deputy director of the Institute of Environmental Studies at the University of New South Wales, says the Climate Commission's report neglects to address the barriers to the growth of Australia's renewable energy sector, including annual fossil fuel subsidies of more than $10 billion.
"Obviously they are trying to put a rosy glow on the situation to avoid criticizing federal and state governments," Diesendorf was quoted as saying by The Conversation.

Tel Aviv University team uses NASA satellites to measure pollution hovering over world's megacities
The thickest layers of global smog caused by traffic, industry, and natural minerals, among other factors are found over the world's megacities. But getting an accurate measurement of pollution is no easy task. On-the-ground monitoring stations do not always provide the most accurate picture monitoring stations depend heavily on local positioning and some cities put stations in urban centers, while others build on the edge of a city.
Now Prof. Pinhas Alpert of Tel Aviv University's Department of Geophysics and Planetary Sciences and head of the Porter School of Environmental Studies, with graduate student Olga Shvainshteinand and Dr. Pavel Kishcha, is turning to three of NASA's high-tech satellites for a comprehensive view of pollutants in the atmosphere. Using eight years' worth of data collected by the satellites, the researchers tracked pollution trends for 189 megacities metropolitan hotspots where the population exceeds 2 million. 58 of these megacities, including New York City, Tokyo, and Mumbai, have populations that exceed 5 million.
Their method, published in the American Journal of Climate Change, is the first to provide standardized global testing of pollution levels. Beyond uncovering reliable data about pollution trends, Prof. Alpert believes that this monitoring method will also hold countries accountable for their emissions and encourage more environmentally friendly practices.
A "three judge" panel
The smog which often covers megacities is actually a thick atmospheric layer several hundred meters above the Earth's surface, comprised of particles of pollutants. It's an environmental hazard and a severe health risk for those living below, who breathe in the particulates.
To accurately analyse the level of pollution over each megacity, the researchers used data gathered by three aerosol-monitoring satellites, called MODIS-Terra, MODIS-Aqua, and MISR, which NASA launched from 2000 through 2002. The combined data these satellites provide constitute an accurate survey of aerosol concentrations a few hundred meters above Earth.
Prof. Alpert likens the use of three satellites to the traditional Jewish idea of the three-judge panel. "In the Jewish tradition, individual judges don't decide cases. There must be a minimum of three. You need a majority opinion," he says. "By merging the data from three imperfect sensors, their flaws are mostly counterbalanced. In cases where the three sensors show differing signs of pollution levels, more research is required."
Winners and losers
Northeast China, India, the Middle East, and Central Africa are currently leading in pollution increase, including Bangalore, India, with a 34 percent average increase in aerosol concentration between 2002 and 2010. Ibdan, Nigeria, was also part of that group. Europe and Northeast and Central North America are seeing the largest decreases in aerosol concentrations overall. Among the cleanest cities were Houston, with a 31 percent decrease over the time period; Curitiba, Brazil, with a 26 percent decrease; and Stockholm, Sweden, with a 23 percent decrease.
Some American cities were on the list of increased pollution levels, including Portland with a 53 percent average increase and Seattle with a 32 percent average increase, but Prof. Alpert believes these numbers reflect the multiple wildfires that have been happening in the region in the second half of the period examined. In the future, he hopes to develop a method for separating such natural causes of pollution from man-made pollutants for more accurate data.
An honest view of emissions
A standardized approach to smog analysis is made difficult by often unreliable data from monitoring stations, the reluctance of politicians or government ministries to offer accurate numbers on pollution, and even a complete lack of monitoring in major parts of the world, says Prof. Alpert. When it comes to international treaties aimed at reducing pollution, this measurement method could help to keep all countries accountable for their promises by tracking compliance in an equitable way. Cities that successfully decrease pollution could be applauded for their efforts and stand as a positive example to follow, he suggests.

Since yesterday, a blog post I wrote about a Facebook privacy hoax has been getting a surprisingly large number of hits, so I assumed that the hoax was making the rounds. It is, but this is a slightly different version. This one is even more laughable than the old one:
In response to the new Facebook guidelines I hereby declare that my copyright is attached to all of my personal details, illustrations, comics, paintings, photos and videos, etc. (as a result of the Berner Convention).
For commercial use of the above my written consent is needed at all times!
(Anyone reading this can copy this text and paste it on their Facebook Wall. This will place them under protection of copyright laws, By the present communiqu?, I notify Facebook that it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, disseminate, or take any other action against me on the basis of this profile and/or its contents. The aforementioned prohibited actions also apply to employees, students, agents and/or any staff under Facebook?s direction or control. The content of this profile is private and confidential information. The violation of my privacy is punished by law (UCC 1 1-308-308 1-103 and the Rome Statute).
Facebook is now an open capital entity. All members are recommended to publish a notice like this, or if you prefer, you may copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once, you will be tacitly allowing the use of elements such as your photos as well as the information contained in your profile status updates.
This is completely and entirely a legal fabrication with no validity whatsoever. Where to begin? Firstly is the fact that there is no such a thing as the Berner Convention (it?s the Berne Convention). In fact, the Berne Convention does the opposite to what is stated, it doesn?t require people to assert their rights, copyright protection is automatic on all original works. As someone once said, it flows from the nib to the page (or from the keyboard to the screen).
Secondly, it?s not true that FB needs to obtain continuing permission to commercially use its user?s content. I refer you to the site?s Terms and Conditions, those nobody ever reads but that bind user?s relationship with the site. These clearly state that all content uploaded belongs to the person who created it (again, it must meet local originality tests for copyright protection), and the user grants FB a licence to use that content. The licence reads:
?For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.?
If you are a Facebook user and do not like the above terms, the solution is easy, delete the account and stop using Facebook, the licence is terminated once content is deleted.
As with the Privacy Hoax, there is a mention to the ever-present section 1-308 of the US Unified Commercial Code (UCC), which has nothing at all to do with copyright or privacy, and it doesn?t give anyone any special legal powers. This is particularly annoying because the UCC only works in American jurisdictions. The mention of the Rome Statute is another interesting addition to make the hoax sound more international. Needless to say, the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court has nothing to do with copyright or privacy either.
As with all good chain letters, the closing admonishes users that they most perpetuate the post, or dire consequences will befall you. No wonder the statement has gone viral.

Thanks to Color Red, a new app thought up by a 13-year-old, Israelis all over the country know exactly when and where each rocket from Gaza is headed.

Rockets launched by Palestinian militants towards Israel make their way from the central Gaza Strip, seen from the Israel Gaza border, Monday. Thanks to an app thought up by an Israeli teenager, Israelis all over the country know exactly when and where each rocket from Gaza is headed.

There was also a buzz from Mr. Genasia?s iPhone. A rocket had been fired from Gaza.
Thanks to Color Red, a new app thought up by a 13-year-old, Israelis all over the country know exactly when and where each rocket is headed.
The geeky solution for Israel?s more than 3 million residents threatened by rocket fire isn?t the first time Israel?s high-tech prowess has been applied to its security threats. In fact, much of Israel?s innovation economy ? which is considered second only to Silicon Valley ? is spurred by the demands of its military and related security industries.
Perhaps adversity whets Israel?s competitive edge, as suggested by the 2009 best-seller Start-Up Nation. According to Israeli press reports, the young teenager behind Color Red is from Beersheva, one of the cities that bears the brunt of Gaza rocket fire ? and thus pops up most frequently on the app.
You can choose to have all alerts sent to your phone, or just those for areas you select from a long list ? all in Hebrew. The system efficiently delivers its notifications based off the government's public warning alerts.
Depending on where Israelis live, they have between 15 and 90 seconds to reach a bomb shelter once the sirens begin to wail. Lately, the sirens have been followed by a large BOOM as Israel?s Iron Dome system kicks in.
Then, if you also have the app from daily newspaper Haaretz, you see an alert pop up while sipping your latte on the Mediterranean coast: Iron Dome intercepts rocket over Tel Aviv.
Apps may not blunt the rockets, but it?s nice to know where they?re falling ??and where they?re not.
A man's quest to overcome his fear of rejection by making at least one crazy request a day for 100 days was throttled last week when a Krispy Kreme employee accepted his order for five doughnuts linked together in the colors and shape of the Olympic symbol.
"It's only my third day and I have already failed," Jia Jiang wrote on his 100 Days of Rejection Therapy blog. "But I did so with such amazement and happiness."
When the 31-year-old approached the register to make his "specialized" doughnut order, Jackie Braun, a shift leader at an Austin, Texas, Krispy Kreme, asked him when he would need it.
"In the next 15 minutes," Jiang replied.
"I was honestly just hoping for a 'no' and to go home," Jiang told Yahoo News in an interview on Monday.

Instead, Braun spent several minutes using the back of some receipt paper to diagram the unusual order.
"Let me see what I can do," she said.
Fifteen minutes later, she emerged with a Krispy Kreme box with the glazed Olympic ring arrangement inside?and, astonishingly, did not charge Jiang for it.
"It wasn't exactly what he wanted," Braun told Yahoo News. "To my eyes, it wasn't perfect, so I didn't think I should charge him for it. It was the best I could do in the time allotted."
"Wow, Jackie, I'm a fan," Jiang told her, on behalf of everyone in America.
"I was overwhelmed, I couldn't believe it," Jiang said. "I went home and tweeted to Krispy Kreme and blogged about it. I wanted the world to know about what she did."
A campaign to get Braun a raise and promotion was quickly launched in the YouTube comments section underneath Jiang's video.
"Jackie is awesome," more than one viewer wrote. "The world needs more people like her."
"Yo, if Krispy Kreme doesn't promote her to CEO I'm boycotting!" wrote another. "And I love doughnuts."
Jiang, who launched a Facebook page called "Give Jackie at Krispy Kreme a Raise," said he returned to Krispy Kreme on Sunday to thank Braun for going above and beyond the call of doughnut duty.
Braun, though, said she didn't do anything out of the ordinary.
"It was a simple thing," Braun, who's been with Krispy Kreme for five years, said. "The Olympic symbol was the only unusual part, because they're not on TV right now. But we do orders like that every day. We're here to make people happy."
